The Angel and the Demon

Contributed by Innocent_Sinner on Monday, 18th May 2009 @ 09:25:20 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I can see the shine in your eyes
The slight sheen of sweat on your skin
Our embrace, most gentle
Our love, most forbidden

The others tear us apart
When they find us together
Opposites: Black and white
Love and hate, day and night

The story of the angel and the demon
A story of pain, suffering, and love
I have experienced the untimate feeling of forbidden
And this is what the demon has to say

You are an angel
A fallen angel at that
To have fallen for a demon
Not exactly angelic of you
But I do not judge you for lovin' me
I could never tear myself away from you
So our forbidden love will go on
The angel and the demon

I stare at the ceiling, unable to sleep
Without your arms around me
I feel like I can't even breathe
Without your scent to inhale
I can't go on like this
When you're in heaven, I'm in hell
This is the way it's supposed to be
But, baby, I can't take this anymore

The story of the angel and the demon
A story of pain, suffering, and love
I have experienced the untimate feeling of forbidden
And this is what the demon has to say

You are an angel
A fallen angel at that
To have fallen for a demon
Not exactly angelic of you
But I do not judge you for lovin' me
I could never tear myself away from you
So our forbidden love will go on
The angel and the demon

Your master says you have to stay
While mine banishes me to deeper hell
You cry for me
Sweet tears of red...
Those tears look like blood to the others
But I've seen those before, and I know what they mean
Those tears of red are only for me
For the demon that loves the angel

The story of the angel and the demon
A story of pain, suffering, and love
I have experienced the untimate feeling of forbidden
And this is what the demon has to say

You are an angel
A fallen angel at that
To have fallen for a demon
Not exactly angelic of you
But I do not judge you for lovin' me
I could never tear myself away from you
So our forbidden love will go on
The angel and the demon

Don't cry those tears of red
They stream down your cheeks, too quick
I need to hold you in my arms
I know you need it too

Our love is forbidden to our matriarchs
But to us, it is the purest thing
And, despite their bickerings and fights
I want you to have this ring

The story of the angel and the demon
A story of pain, suffering, and love
I have experienced the untimate feeling of forbidden
And this is what the demon has to say

You are an angel
A fallen angel at that
To have fallen for a demon
Not exactly angelic of you
But I do not judge you for lovin' me
I could never tear myself away from you
So our forbidden love will go on
The angel and the demon

Our love, so forbidden
Will be set free someday
So don't cry, my sad, fallen angel
We'll be reborn someday
In a world that loves everyone
And everyone loves the world
To a world where everyone can love freely
And there is no hate for love

Maybe there'll be this world soon
And we can leave our opposite lives
Together we will form something beautiful
Even if only we can see it

The story of the angel and the demon
A story of pain, suffering, and love
I have experienced the untimate feeling of forbidden
And this is what the demon has to say

You are an angel
A fallen angel at that
To have fallen for a demon
Not exactly angelic of you
But I do not judge you for lovin' me
I could never tear myself away from you
So our forbidden love will go on
The angel and the demon

I can see the shine in your eyes
The slight sheen of sweat on your skin
Our embrace, most gentle
Our love, most forbidden...
