Time to Clear the Temple

You’re down on bended knee,
you hide behind your pew,
there’s no where now to flee,
he’s got his sights on you.
There’s nowhere he can’t see,
if what you say is true.
It’s time to state your plea,
received your sentence too.
Can’t hide behind a crucifix,
don’t build a higher steeple,
won’t take your son in sacrifice,
you know he loves his people.
You’ve got yourself to blame.
It does no good to cry.
The end is still the same,
why do you wonder why.
You make his love a game.
Your love was just a lie,
misused, abused his name,
you’ll see it by and by.
Tears won’t hide your face, man,
repentance ain’t that simple.
Jesus hates a hypocrite,
it’s time to clear the temple.

There's no satisfaction
like the truth that is
this world is cloked in hypocrisy
so many don't seem to mind
as it's written the toll will be paid
truly gratifying passage
