selfstruggles

The little lamb had stumbled
And was falling to the floor
Reaching out her arms
but there was no-one there to catch her
Where was the leader
The little lambs protector
when she needed her most?
The floor hit her hard
Lying on her front
the little lamb could feel the heaving in her chest
as a silent sob broke out
the little lamb was alone
There were voices from up above
sounds of jeering and laughing were heard
from where the little lamb lay
Another sob broke from her chest
No one came to help the little lamb
where was her leader?
she saw feet walk past her
but no one lent her a hand
The little lamb cried noiselessly
into the hard tiled floor
she could feel the dampness
which erupted from her eyes
In self pity, the little lamb did lay
She was nothing to these people
The little lamb was just that
and not an independant leader
But something was happening
deep inside the littles lambs heart
it was like a fire had been lit
in a deep neglected cave
It was then that the realisation
hit the lamb on the floor
She needed no leader
and it was with this thought
That I Rose
