Wishing well of dreams

Contributed by shelby on Tuesday, 12th May 2009 @ 11:28:59 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

The wishing well sits in the overgrown field alone.
A story of tales all its own, its cement weakened and roof amis
and many year worn of the summer suns bright kiss.

Deep inside the dreams do swell
of others hopes and dreams that failed.
Other's floating round with nowhere to go
detached of thought and lost to all.

Inside the well it held them all
for long ago when night time came to call.
Many a person would venture by
and toss their dreams deep down inside.

Some said it was a magical well,
none can say forsure.
But for years the allure was there
and with the well their secrets shared.

Years have past and those people are all gone.
At times in the eve some say you can hear a song.
Coming from deep within the well
of life time hopes and dreams once shared.

So does it carry on this way,
each dream dreamt wont fade away?
But rather collect to be gathered another time.
In the summers breeze brushed with scents of clementine.

Wishing well of dreams, sitting in the field alone.
Holding on the precious thoughts and things
of people from long ago.
Their spirits float but dreams dont fade away
they are sitting tight for another day.

Oh sweetie, what a perfectly delightful and beautiful piece. It just screams of hope.
I so adore the story this seems to tell. It has a history with it, you know? And I love
history. Sifting through pages of time to witness dreams of past lovers, dreamers and
bards. (Which are all one in the same, in my opinion. ^_^) Beautiful work here, shell
as always. I adore your writes. They can be so hypnotic and soothing.

*hugs you tight*
