anguished
|
How many have lost their minds
Long enough to lay down their bodies
And self immolate, sprawled
Across their lover’s pyre?
Such a lament that has never been felt
Granted homage with blackened, flaking bodies
A somber form given to love
Lending purpose and reason to a ritualistic sacrifice undertaken
By those who love the deepest and burn the quickest
Dakshayani ‘s footsteps are lined in smoldering embers
And are difficult to follow

really dark poem ... I had to smile when I looked at your user name. The two are totally unsuitable although it doesn't matter. |
