Smoke Evaporating into Sand

I held it all in my hands
and then watched it all go up in smoke
It seems to be like sand
Slipping through the cracks and now my hearts broke

My dreams shattered
Why should anything else matter
I had to watch it all go up in smoke before my eyes
I sit here and cry

I had what I needed at my side
It was going to make the sad feelings subside
But only for a second did I hold it in my hand
Then my hope and dreams went up as smoke evaporating from the sand
