I wish she would run away from it all,
I do, I really do,
To find something for her,
To find something more,
But most of all, to find something new
She needed change,
It made her feel real,
She needed love,
To make her heal.
From wounds long carried
From a war long ago.
So a trek she went on,
Into the vast unknown.
Austin left her,
New York carried her,
Los Angeles lied to her,
Chicago cried for her.
Boston betrayed her,
Fargo lost her,
And Atlanta gave her,
More than she ever had before.
She needed change,
She needed rest,
And in her journey she found change,
She found that she was blessed.
Was it her crime, or was it theirs
That beckoned a calling,
That called for a new life so fair?
She embraced the urge and left
So many behind,
Gone into the void,
She wanted to find
Something that rang to her tune
For a change,
That gave new meaning
To a life so strange.
Will she ever find what she is looking for?
Run away, she did,
And never looked back
So to her I give this lore,
To describe her triumph,
To describe her misfortune,
And to make up for all the she ever lacked.
Thank you, My Princess.

This was a beautiful write. These soul-searching travels are so important. Your princess has obviously been through a lot. I hope both of you have what you are looking for.

Fargo lost her? Why do I get the image of a young Japanese girl, frozen in time, in the snow? Even if this isn't about her, your princess' sojourn captivated me truly.
Silken and eloquent, with insight.
Another impressive write. |

A most excellent read, I enjoyed my trip to the USA in the course of looking for a Princess.
