Your eyes reminded me of something lost,
unchained, fractured,
the smile of a frightened child curling your
fatal lips,
and by what flame did your God die in?
These ashes are heavy with mother's scent.
you catch them with your desperate tongue,
searching for the Israel she loved;
the kisses she seldom gave.
And who would sneer at your desire to sift through winds
like a whisper, unheard?
Like your father, that day he pressed his mouth to your forehead
instead of saying goodbye?
The day God wept the ashes of your people, and you
choked on the stench of his death, as well as your soul's.
By what divine hand will you be salvaged, Ishmael? -
Which endless voice will rid you of your suffering? -
The screams of the burning? The screams of the silent?
To dream is to suffer ignorance!
To die is to find salvation!
- In nothing, in nothing!
There is only emptiness.
There is only god.

If there is not a book of your poems...there SHOULD be. Love this line;
'and by what flame did your God die in?'
And I am missing your writes. Come back , FleurdeSang....
