she crawls out of the night, limbless,
a sigh of rotting, petals of a distant mutilation,
my heart forgets its tedious chanting
and for a moment, sings only of her
a secret death
bound to the tides of the moon,
a tireless flame, unyielding with her deceits,
she covers me with her dark tongue
I am lulled by the scent of her faithless veins
she is the sound the wind makes when it cries.
a duet of my silent weeping, and the sky's endless howling
the moon is nothing when she is not there to
spread her vile light,
to birth her violence against the walls you
wish you could sink into.
she is destruction.

(A/N: Unfinished so far. And the 10th line is completely Loende's, I cannot recall from which poem, but it is recent. I hope she will not mind me borrowing it *sheepish smile*. Thanks, dear!)

Stephy, my dear, this is exceptional! (And I know I risk sounding redundant
when commenting on your work, as it is all exceptional, but I care not!)
I'm inspired with this. It moves me to the point of wanting to actually
be her! To creep into the night and steal the moon's allure; to breathe darkness;
to just be unapologetic for anything.
A demon. Yes, a demon. Now that is something that holds an enormous
intrigue for me. This piece is like the melding of darkness and acute beauty,
(as so many of your writes are). It is magnificent, sweets.
