There blew the garish scent
Standing tall never bent
Shabby clothes on his girth
Unexpected from his birth
He came from the east
Lived with a beast
Learned from the best
Then came his test
A path a choice beckoned
Nothing wrong with second
Cast out no longer kempt
For a life that will tempt
Returning from his ways
For a future with days
Not to seek what is first
Just to quench his living thirst
Twenty five years now his age
And gets to turn another page
Not to a place of his birth
A return to find true worth
