Have you seen the pictures?
Can you see him now?
Walking in the sunshine,
did Jesus wear a hat?
The desert sun is hot.
It causes men to thirst.
It dries and darkens skin,
did Jesus wear a hat?
The desert sun is bright.
The desert floor is sand.
No shade on desert hilltops,
did Jesus wear a hat?
Travel through the desert
to sun-soaked village streets.
So often in the sunlight,
did Jesus wear a hat?
Received in desert sunshine
by crowds too large to house,
from sunrise until sunset,
did Jesus wear a hat?
Thirty years of sunshine
so bright it blinds the eye,
and burns the skin in minutes,
did Jesus wear a hat?
Skin exposed to desert sun
for longer that awhile
will suntan to a dark rich brown,
did Jesus wear a hat?
Have you seen the pictures?
Can you see him now?
Walking in the sunshine,
did Jesus wear a hat?
