when will he be home
too soon too soon
reaking of the whisky
and a worse for drink
my daddies got a curse
he's got a curse for drink
never glanced another women
never touched the bad stuff
but were always out of purse
cos my daddies got a curse
he's got a curse for drink
never angry nor bitter
not a blabber nor twitter
not a man of rage
but a man of love
i thought a good man of him
i loved him to eternity
but my daddy had a curse
he had a curse for drink
and when that day morns
that lad aint my daddy
that curse kills him even more
it killed him
he fell into a swirl of bourbon
a sleep from which no man can awaken
it eats my soul today
cos my daddy had a curse
he had a curse for drink
