Is It Over Yet

Tears tracing down my face
But look in the mirror; there's no trace
There's no breath left in me
It's empty where my heart should be
So all I can do is close my eyes
And ask, "Is it over yet..."

Crying all alone
Darkness where the sun has shone
And without a place to run and hide
I can't face it; I can't survive
So all I can do is shut my eyes
And whisper, "Is it over yet...?"

Trembling deep inside
Composure? Yes, I've tried
But I can hardly breathe
There's no reason to believe
So all I can do is look away
And murmur, "Is it over yet?"

Grip my heart too tightly and it's bleeding in your hand
But I won't complain; I'll take all the attention I can
All I can do is break my chains
Crying from the intense pain
Shut my eyes tightly and scream
"Is it over yet?!"
