Here I can escape it all
Here no one cares if you stay on the ball
Here it doesn't matter what I say or do
Here is a place to just be you
It's like home should be
Except the family table looks like an L
And the people come and go drunk as hell
As you may be able to see
My home away from home is a bar
And as I sit in the back playing pool
And take time to converse and play the fool
I watch the people I know come and go
Here I feel at peace and away from it all
The only thing they ask you to do
Is watch your P's and Q's
Then we laugh and cheer as you take a fall
Off their stool
Memories' of the good times
Will always bring peace to my mind
