Lifepoems

Through the mirror her reflection stares,
Glassy eyes and tresses of hair.
Her face a stranger, unfamiliar so,
The person within, I do not know.
Does she talk? Does she cry?
Never speaking, I wonder why.
Her secluded life she lets no one inside,
Who is this girl? How long can she hide?
A vacant heart so bitter and dark,
What incident could leave such a mark?
The pain of her past she lets no one see,
A burden on her life; will she ever be free?
