I Lost You

Contributed by alexischeyenne on Sunday, 26th April 2009 @ 04:21:18 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I lost you -
And everyday I wonder what I could have done differently.

I lost you -
And I wonder if it was my mistake.

I created you,
and somehow, I let you down.

Forming potential, dead and gone.

It hurts to know no one else cares to remember;
Everyone else sees your death as a blessing,
Everyone except for me.

I wonder what you would have looked like,
and how you would have been.

Would I have been a good mommy?
Would I have given you the life you deserved?
No one believed in me,
but I know no one would - or could- love you as much I already did.

It's crazy, right?
To love someone you've never even truly met.
They can't see how much you meant to me.
And how it killed me to lie on that hospital bed
knowing you were gone,
knowing they simply discarded you.

But you were my baby
and I lost you.

I'm going insane, baby,
remembering you.
And every day, I wish that I could go too.
But your daddy's the one keeping me here,
I know it would hurt him if I left.
I just wonder sometimes, could I find you somewhere?
Somewhere beyond the realm of life?
I would give anything to have you,
anything to hold you.

I've lost you, my baby,
But know that I've always loved you.

First of all I want to say how sorry I am that this happened to you.

I feel at times people speak without really hearing their own words, I know some of those things really wounded your heart after it was already wounded.

This write is well written and heart felt.
Blessing to you.

Don't listen to what others say, you have every right to grieve. I am very sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss and I feel for you Alexis. I have also been through the pain and loss of a miscarriage (well.. not me, my girlfriend.. but he was gonna be my son as well). It is devastating to say the least.

"I just wonder sometimes, could I find you somewhere?
Somewhere beyond the realm of life?"
- I have asked myself this question many times. Thank you so much for sharing.

though i am a male, i can understand how you feel. you kept in womb and nurtured a child and losing it is terrifying even if you havent had time to get to know it. from what ive read about pregnant females is that you and a baby are like one, if you feeling bad it feels , sick it feels sick and so on. sorry for your lose as sad as it is, this is part of life and one part i dislike the most!

great write you had emotions and the meaning was so clear. sorry again and keep on writing

You may be only 16 but feelings don't discriminate on age and neither should anyone else.
It's a cruel world sometimes, having something snatched from you without having any say in it.I hope that life treats you better in the future. That which we lose nobody can ever replace but memories can never be washed away,

Steve
