Teacher or passenger?
indifferent now to the question
one foot on the pedal
the other on the brake
whip-lashed and silent
the driver, observant
imaginary summer
for the winter is too cold
blind in the inherent beauty
the storm brings new life
ba’al knew of this
but that was years ago
when I didn’t look
for the door handle
for a way to smell the air
to be human is to sit
to be alive is to stand
to be alone is to stand
and so indifference is the key
to ignorance of the whip-lash
the stop-start-stop-start
the ‘who cares anymore?’

Interesting write, the title is what drew me into this write.
I am going to read it once more. I kind of got lost in it.
