No Idea About The Pass, and the race to the end.

Contributed by lostrelic on Thursday, 23rd April 2009 @ 03:46:06 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I stammered today to understand the grande scheme of this unholy empire,
this plastered design of idols and whistles.

Watching children fight over gods in the schoolyard,
the cool kids in the back with their science books mocking.
All screaming over small details of bloodshed and lies,
blaming everyone but themselves, blaming the sky, damn the sky.

Feeling left out of the conversation i speak to the trees, they know the hidden truth,
they told me the evil is in the hearts of man, the way we came is not the answer we should seek, it's what future we can design.
They want to work in harmony, to show us the way of towers with the beauty of the hidden moss in the branches,
to stop the havoc, and seek understanding but not the pages from the past.
The book is solid but what book, the truth is righteous but who's truth, we are all still men but what is rotten within.

We seek for the golden scheme of things, hiding the children's tears in smog and filth,
we follow selfish roads, and cover our tracks with guilt.
We spent two thousand years trying to evolve, to find ourselves back in the same argument that never resolves.
What does it mean to sit and wait for the end, reading in corners and yelling at sin, harvesting anger and letting the racist be free.

We are only man, scared and frightened, we are all the same in that aspect, no how to guide to follow no idea about the pass.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
