Hold In There

Contributed by thezenmonkey on Thursday, 23rd April 2009 @ 05:50:30 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

This is for anybody who’s ever hit rock bottom, and been broke,
And had to go without a toke, although they like a smoke,
With the fridge and cupboard bare, with nothing there,
Had to cut their own hair, has no one there to care – hold in there! –
In thousand pounds worth of dept, no food to feed your pet,
Can’t even afford to pay the vet, places all their money on a bet,
Received a bailiffs threat, cannot pay of their dept,
Has lost their only bet – hold in there don’t give up,
Pick yourself up out of this rut, although you may have had enough,
One day you’ll have a change of luck!

I believe the way the world is at the moment, I think you have hit the nail on the head, and expressed many peoples plights, paying the morgage, feeding the kids, paying the bills, the cost of living, where does the next penny come from. Like your take on the reality in life

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
