I've been waiting for a chance
a glimpse of understanding
or peace of mind
but all I see is fear and problems
exhaustion anxiousness impatience
selfish
misunderstood.....compassion?
When I think of the future, I don't
see vision, I see blank
I have no vision maybe that's the problem
Does anyone hear me? If I'm the only one, why?
I can't be, this world has too many-
people, options, colors, skies
Too many
but not enough if you're not connected
or false or someone else,
you'll fail-not fail
won't get it
You'll still be you which ultimately is
the dream - for me
To not compromise, but stay true
you'll keep a light heart in the face
of anything because you'll know everything
was done out of neccessity - because you couldn't live
with yourself had it been done differently
any other way but your own
That is why as much as I cry or
hurt
I will never break
I have truth
I have power
I have me.

| nice job! I can feel the emotion written here. You let the reader feel what you feel and that's not easy. Sometimes we tend to keep the hurtful things locked inside! |

Well, you sure coulda fooled me. Maybe the best poets are those that don't really think they are one.
Keep it up because this was nicely written and gives the reader many thoughts to ponder with it's well thought out conclusions.
