perception growing cold, realization we're all growing old
a midnight breath on the lovers back, we attack,
their holy side inside, the side we can't realize
we hold back our screams for tears, and our freedoms for fears
blood stained streets line blocks, people hidden in the rocks
hiding from the hidden, warm and huddled, like a mitten
we all yell for change and movement, but in a moment
we struggle in our veil, our one person jail
wanting to get out, the lies dried like a drought
On painful steeds we'll run the deeds
we'll catch the sky, we'll learn to fly
but if we can't break the chains away
there will never be another day

We will be freed from this Jail someday! If a sheep be a sheep of the lord Jesus and no one else! |
