Unclench your fist and pick up a rose
Keep close your friends, and closer your foes
Hatred’s the symptom of a shallow mind
We’re all made in his image, our lord’s own design
So pick up a rose and unclench your fist
The fact is that opposing lifestyles exist
So let’s accept each other the way we are
The discomfort you feel won’t follow you far
Approach each other, with both regard and respect
While forgetting those years of willful neglect
The choices they make, they should be a crime
Cause they’re robbing the world, of its ignorant mind
