Abyss

Contributed by ravenblack_phoenix on Wednesday, 26th March 2003 @ 06:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Into the abyss,
I have been thrown.
Pushed to death's kiss?
Into the unknown.

Rushing downward,
Faster then slower.
Perhaps homeward?
Farther and farther.

But in the depths of the darkness,
A whisper is heard,
Barely audible,
Save a few simple words...

"A dream..."
Can it truly be?
Or a nightmare is it?
I wish I could see.

So my eyes are bound,
Now I can tell,
But I feel nothing,
Would this be hell?

......
Yes it is clear now,
My heart is surely bound as well.
This is no dream, but a nightmare.
My own personal hell.

For I am so cold,
I feel so alone,
My heart bare as bone,
Nothing on which to hold...
Consumed by the darkness,
Held tight in it's grasp,
Until flooded by light,
In it's warmth I long to bask...

So here I shall wait,
Here in this hell,
Ever so cold,
And lonely as well.
