Monster in the shadow

Something moving in the shadows
Can you blame a monster for doing what it does
Scaring the children, into sumittance of acceptance
Feeding its long lost lust, relighting burnt out flames
For once and at last it calls out your name
When its scared, ashamed and hiding from those it hurt.
