Why Indeed

Contributed by navydocny on Sunday, 19th April 2009 @ 12:29:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Promises like flowers wilt with time
Names written in sand, washed away by the tide
Tears that fall in the rain, never to be seen
Unlike the snow whose mantle will fade
Some things will not diminish

As the seasons bring death, they bring life
The ocean reclaims what it gives, only to give again
Both nourished by tears that are shed and rain alike
All give to invigorate the fire, for all that is given burns
It immolates our heart, our soul and all that we are

If not now, then why ever fight
Why to ever fight for life, for love, for you
If not now then never should I have held faith, to you, to my bond
Sooner could I not breathe life’s air than to surrender to it
If not now, then why did I ever struggle

Earth returns what it seizes, all to live again
Left to face barely, the loneliness of each other
Memories that laugh and cry
To once more, holding each other in the dark
Why would I fight for you indeed…….

For there is still love of you and of me……..

I love the imagery in this piece.

Nothing worldly is eternal.Yet, as energy cannot disappear;
it can only change shape.

There is so much fire in this one, Steve. It began with a wilted resolve that
I was going to mention being so akin to, but then it evolved into this conviction
of why bother's answer. Your tireless strength is admirable. I hope all your
dreaming of comes to pass.

Take care ~

Wow, definitey lots of passion here but what I like the most is the analogies from the metaphors!!! They just blow me away.

I would say good luck but since I do not believe in luck, may your journey bring you all that you hope and dream for.

Tim
