Whose Day Is Longer Than Its Year

I am a heretic to
pledge the days to any other impetus.
Your stare is as old as any god that
steered my shoulders in the
cavernous wind,
is as old as any wind deemed young enough for
comment and men-seeing men.
is as refined as any crater,
blunt and misty-eyed,
weeping from impact and leaking the
million years’ stilled prejudices against the
aimless comets.
is as deep as any canyon,
who, managing to make the ice tall and finned,
hoisted up that cold Age’s crown
lest the cold melt with a humbler parentage
underneath.
I
footslogged through the parlance of degrees, the
nature of degrees, the
ice which does not seem malleable is the
heat that loosed its form.

Yes I do agree with Steve, it is deep and it is technical.
I am going to go back and read it again.
To me this write almost has a mystical air to it.
