Is there a purpose to this pain?
Is there a drought to be quenched by the rain?
Is there a draft on which the eagle will sore?
Or will he fall injured to the dessert floor?
Is there a conclusion to this endless mile?
Is there something hidden behind your smile?
Is the fire built for warmth or was it born to consume?
Is your answer final or will I continue to presume?
Days like this never seem to end
Hearts like this never seem to mend
Answers evade the questions I pose
Life continues like the fading beauty of a rose

Tanna, Apologies...I'm trying to read too many of your poems too quickly. I'll come back to this one later.
(Psst Eagles soar not sore. Mick will correct it if you ask him. I feel it spoils the line and I only mention it because in less than an hour I've become an avid admirer of your work.
