nightly walk

Contributed by crmnlilbruno on Tuesday, 14th April 2009 @ 11:29:57 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Only the moon and the stars giving off light
Walking down the road in the middle of the night

A brisk northern wind brushing against my face
Head tilted back staring off in space

Crickets in the grass singing there song
Listening to it all as I walk along

Road made of dirt going around a lake
This is the rout that I like to take

Fish splashing away just right off shore
Head swinging to the side looking for more

The Waters wavy rippling the light of the moon
Almost home on this night in June

I take this walk every night before bed
Its a beautiful walk even if its only in my head

A single memory could help one sleep
This is the one I use and the one I keep.......
