Topic:
anguished
|
I puddle around my own feet in despair
searching for a harbor, a haven, or perhaps just somewhere to dissolve
Leaking pieces of my soul into the muddied earth
My hands find their way to the ground in time to claw at the pieces that break for you
YOU
Despair hanging my head to the barefooted mess that has become me
Crouching now to hold what I thought was eternal
One last moment with this part of me
After it has burst from my chest, leapt out of my throat unto the muddied earth
Soiled
my soul, dripping through my fingers unto feet that won't carry me away, they too are stuck in the muddied earth
This sad place to dissolve you
