Lost in the Music

Contributed by Tanna on Wednesday, 26th March 2003 @ 01:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

The sad sweet strains of the violin
Float effortlessly into the room
A lone figure transforms
As the music begins to consume

His frail body begins to bend and sway
On his face, a look of rapture
Created from his arthritic hands
Comes a beauty only he's been able to capture

His hands speak a different language
A union of peace and passion
Intensity of feelings
Each warring in a fashion

The notes all blend in harmony
As the music reaches higher strains
He plays this piece from memory
But his wonder still remains

He evolves into a younger man
Inspired by the song
Elegant in his stance
Arthritic hands now strong

This sentimental melody
Yet again brings this man peace
He loses himself in the music
Giving in to that soulful release

Mmm, I love the vision you have created within my mind, as I said in the message that you are beautiful it takes a pure strain of beauty to capture the imagery that it takes to create a poem like this. It's something that speaks to the heart as well as the mind. ::two thumbs up::

Very evocative and as usual a perfect scan (except for verse 2 line 4. I hope you will not be offended at my crticism but why not

A beauty only he can capture
