Poetry doesn't require much thought

Some people make poetry require to much thought
And to me that just makes the fun of it rot
My poetry to me
Is just that
It is just my poetry
There may be an outside meaning
When I'm done writing I can't believe what I'm seeing
It's a poem none the less
But I didn't think about it
I just wrote and did my best
So to me poetry doesn't require thought
Because then it wouldn't be fun and my life would rot

I hear ya. It very seldom ever takes me more than five minetes to write a poem/lyrics. The title comes to me first then the words just flow thru my heart-n-soul. My writing has always been just a natural flow.
Good writing, Kelly, and you touched on a subject that I havn't heard much thought on so that makes you very wise.
Big huggs, blessings, smiles,
