The Last Time

This is the last time I'll get to see you again...

My end is coming,
my body's numbing...

Won't you touch me,
and fill me with life?

My heart is breaking,
my soul is aching...

Won't you save me,
and end all my pain?

Tonight is our final night,
before I go and end my plight.

Take me in your warm embrace,
show me that loving smile on your face,
and take me to our secret place.

A place where we can be together
to love and be loved,
away from the criticism of society,
and become lost in each other.

That's all I ever really wanted...
To be with you without worry,
and never feel like we have to hurry.

Now that I'm with you,
let's do all that we can do.

Your gentle touch,
your loving kiss,
send me into eternal bliss.

The night is young,
and so are we,
let our hearts and minds roam free.

Hold me close in your loving arms,
and let us make this last.

But our time is quickly ending,
as I wish it never would.

As it slowly fades away,
let us remember this day,
a day of joy, love,
and laughter.

Remember how you took me in your warm embrace,
how you showed me that smiling look upon your face,
and took me to our secret place.

A place where we could be together,
to love and be loved,
now and forever.

I stand, silent,
then kick my legs aside.

As the rope tightens,
and the chair falls,
I close my eyes,
and leave it all.

This is the last time I'll get to see you again,
so before my end...

Take me to our secret place.
