Visions of My Death
My impending death has been revealed to me
Though the exact hour has yet to be
My death has come by the hands of those I love
The ones I have treated with kid glove
My impending death is being flashed before my eyes
As I stand above my body and watch as only one person cries
My death has revealed the thing I feared to make known
That my heart had no permanent place to call home
Those who I considered my enemies I was able to hold at bay
My loved ones I held close to my heart every day
Trust and caring is all I had on this earth to give
Strange that they are the reasons I will no longer live
My impending death does not make me sad
I am so thankful for the life I have had
The memories are mine to take to the grave
They are the important things I implore you all to save
My impending death must now be close at hand
I feel extremely drained as I make this, my final stand
My last prayer is that God has mercy on me
So when He calls you home, I will be there to see

I enjoyed this piece of writing. I kind of reminds me of William Blake especially in terms of his "Age of Experience" collection. You are a truly amazing poet!
