I've searched your eyes in crowded rooms,
In the pale light of the faithful moon
And sad I departed without a glimpse
Of your sweet heavenly dreams.

I've searched your eyes a thousand times
In the light of a new day,
But you cannot seem to appear nor show
In the sunrise of tomorrow.

I've searched your eyes in the meadows,
But you we're hiding in the shadows
So I cried for you to come
For you've left me undone.

I've had similar sad & encompassing feelings. . . reminds me of another time &
place & how far I've come. . . good write. peace. elle
