Platonic affection?
Romantic love?
When I look in your eyes,
What is it that I'm feeling?
A maternal urge to protect you?
A lustful instinct to kiss your nose?
When I see you my heart softens,
Your voice is the air's lightest caress,

Best friend of mine,
Is it wrong that I want you to be mine?
I wouldn't mind our lips touching,
Cheeks brushing,
Face's flushing,
But you are my greatest friend,
The friend that holds ownership of my heart,
My wanting for you,
Could damage it all,

Am I simply confusing,
A friend's love?
And a partner's love?
Or do I really want you?
