My name is freedom.

Contributed by mutantfish on Monday, 30th March 2009 @ 12:46:50 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I saw you out on the street last night
you were walking alone alright
you looked at me and i looked away
pain fills everyday

When I look in the mirror every time
I see the mental mountain, i must climb
but it's just so damn difficult
sometimes.

It's been several months since the day
since the day we parted ways
To seek the knowledge and find what's true
about me and about you

Future is uncertain, and change is coming near
you'll find our world is different, in a couple years
With a small thought in my head
This is the last night in my bed

There is a big whole world to explore
it's too bad that we couldn't last more
We could have had that chance
for one last otherworldly dance

But here I am sitting alone in the grass
on a beach thinking about the time past
When holding hands and love was true
you changed, what happened to you?

I move towards the sea
To watch the laves lap up around me
Forever ebbing and flowing
and rising and slowing

It's here under these gray clouds
That emotion can speak so loud
with cold blue waves all around me
At last I can finally see

The world is laid out
and you won't come
you've missed out
for an emotional sum

No longer will I be there
No longer will you care
No longer do I fill my heart
with your painful art

I am myself and I am me
I full of problems you couldn't see
Now I know that's just it
and you never gave a *****.

its pretty good, with that title i pictured this piece something very different (freedom=war, slavery)

it has a beautiful flow, emotions and the questioning brought out this piece well

keep it up

Bitter sweet, this poem flowed off the page and into the readers heart.
I have a tear in my eye, feeling this one.
