I die with a smile on my face

Contributed by solidsnake116 on Monday, 30th March 2009 @ 01:03:33 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Im sitting alone in a dark room

I look to the left, and i see my six year old self hanging from a street light by my neck. My body is limp and covered in blood.

I look to the right and my six year old self is riding a bicycle on a sunny day.

I look left again and see my 15 year old corpse, rotten and swollen with maggots.

I look to the right and see my 15 year old self standing alone, not sad but not happy either.

I look left again and my myself at my current age of 18 gutted and dismembered. Insane men are waving my body parts around and drinking the blood in celebration.

I look right and see my 18 year old self lying in a pool of my own blood with a knife sticking out of my neck. The fake me isn't quite dead yet, as i can hear him struggling to try and breathe, which only causes blood to spurt out even faster.

Everywhere i look all i see is my own death, so i close my eyes.

And i see lucifer, he is not a beast but a souless man with black eyes.

The images of death and horror become to much for me, so i open a drawer and pull out a pistol.

I place the gun to my head and pull the trigger, splattering skull fragments and chunks of my brain all over the walls.

I die with a smile on my face.

Scary as only hell can be,I guess!
Thank you for sharing your nightmares.
Let's hope that they are not contagious.
Exciting to read!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
