And so another star has fallen
Watching as it slams into the ground
I turn and walk back down this path
I feel the tear fall from my eye
Wiping it away before I crumble
Nice guys finish last in this life
A rat race, A game we all play
Why do I still bother
Should I even care
The only person I need, is right here
He is there when I feel weak
When I need help
I silent hand when I weep
He gives me the strength I need to move on
Without Jesus, my life would have been gone
To many times, that I can count
That life sh!t’s in my face
Yet I carry on
He is my rock, my fortress
Where I always retreat
He has shown me the path that I must walk down
Yet stubbornly I go my own way
He smiles and grins
And brings me back in
Thank you Jesus for all you have done
