different love

Contributed by DesolantDreamer on Friday, 27th March 2009 @ 10:12:30 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Summertime laughter
Hugs and fun times
Inseperable lifestyles
You became my best friend
And after all the smiles
And all the giggles
We said our I love yous
Because we love eachother
Like best friends often do
But over time I realized
My "I love you" ment much more
Than that of just best friends
My smile faulters
The laughter subsides
And all that's left
Is our shining eyes
"I love you" I say, with a face most serious
You return with an "I love you too"
And we part ways again
Until the next time we meet
A goodbye that's so sweet
We'll see eachother soon, like every time we part
But still I feel this pain, deep inside my heart
You'll never know, how much my "I love you"s mean
It hurts inside, to say them so clear
And know our love is different
Your wants are different than most guys
You're a different type of man
And it makes it much more difficult
For me
Because what do you do, honestly,
When your soulmate is gay?

OH my, what a quandary! My heart goes out to you. It truly does. If this love
that you feel is strong, then the compassion and understanding you have for
your "soulmate" will overpower the difficulties of loving someone whom you can
never have. I know how hard this can be.

Hopes for better days ~
