looking back on life's demise,
I take away rose-tinted eyes.
stepping back to a world of grey,
To a world where colour
Was so far away
each morning woken by a death dark sun,
With morbid sky
devoid of fun.
I leave my bed with heavy eyes,
from sleepless nights
And days of cries.
No longer in a world of need,
I cut myself
And watch me bleed.
with each crimson drip,
My colour returns
I feel alive
With each cut that burns.

worth while putting under self harm category. A very good capture of the dichotomy of what it takes to feel alive in a dull existance.
