LOVE HURTS

You know when all’s been said and done,
And life’s just gets you down.
When the only thing left in life,
Is a bloody big headache and frown?

When friends you know and friends you don’t,
Blockade your way ahead.
When the one you love, you devote your life,
Gives her love to someone else instead.

Friends who love you,
Will try to help you,
They know just how you feel,
But in your mind, in you head,
The thoughts in your brain are real.

Your throat is dry
Your mind is racing, differences everywhere.
How did this happen? What did I do?
Poignant flashes of your happiness,
Who cares?

Heartrending images, morning, noon and night,
Destroy any chance of redemption.
The future you held, the future so bright,
Gone in a flash annihilation.

Each time that you see her, she walks through your mind,
Satisfying you once again.
You anticipate the day when sanity returns,
And life you had before can begin.

You captured many truths in this well written poem my friend.
It is something many of us relate to and the very ending is something I often wish for things like they were before...... It would be nice at times sighhhhh
