My lady and her Girlfriend

She brings out the worst in her each visit.
Cranky from cramps & that bloating feeling
that accompanies her,
and aren’t we being brave today,
trying to squeeze out a hundred words
on the old lady under these circumstances?

But she’s downtown shopping for curtains
or a couch cover, but most likely both
and I’m half done with this joint
put aside for such an occasion,
and things are starting to feel normal again;
her gone with that bloody girlfriend of hers;
or whatever your lady calls it when it comes.
