A young American soldier stands by,
one of your fears is that they will die.
Neither of you say how you feel,
but your in love and it is real.
The soldiers passion does not stop,
though away he cries tears that quickly drop.
The soldier misses everyone back at state,
and highly increasing is the soldier death rate.
They have been gone for over a year,
and loosing them is such a fear.
No one at home knows if the soldier is alive.
You hope at your door he some day will arrive.
