As i travelled down the track
i sensed somthing wasn`t right
i`ve travelled down this track before
but never travelled at night

with my lamp swinging by my side
and the breeze swirling all around
somthing made me stop
and listen for a sound

as the silence made me uneasy
and the rain began to fall
i convinced myself to carry on
there was no one here at all

stomping through the mud
then out into the clearing
somthing made me stop again
was there somthing wrong with my hearing?

i looked over my shoulder
to nothing i could see
my lamp was going flat
oh lord i think this is the end of me

standing in the dark
with nowhere to go
i looked up to the sky
im gunna die
oh god no one will ever know:(

with a SNAP and a CRACK
from a noise that was so frightening
i leaped and bolted like a cheetah
faster than grease lightening

dodging, weaving, fending
and hurtling over leaves
i finally took a dive
and landed behind a fallen tree

there i stayed
as quiet as a mouse
wondering what on earth i should do?
i wish i was at home
in my nice warm house

then somthing occured to me
and i said stop being a sook
your a bloody man not a bloody rabbit
now get up and have a bloody look!!

i stood up
as noble and as gallant as a knight
ready to face my opponent and accept my fate
right here, right now, this time tonight

ok im ready
who ever the hell you are
i know kung fu
and im gunna kick your little arse

so come out
i know your behind that tree
come out and accept your fate!
OMG it`s a bloody fairy

baffled and confused
i said fairy you a long way from home
what are you doing out here
and why are you all alone?

she floated down to where i was
the rain had soaked her hair
there we stood face to face
looks like we both had a bit of a scare:(

she said sir
i`m lost, i think i have overflown
now im stuck out here
lost in the unknown

please help me find my way
and i`ll grant your wish come true
lead me to where the clouds meet the earth
and i swear to god i`ll see it through

the words in her voice
to me were crystal clear
there was somthing nasty happening tonight
and i`ve got to get her out of here!

by now the rain had stopped
and the sky was warmly fair
the elligant fairy began to glow
as well as her elligant hair

of all my experiences
through the bush here tonight
i`ve never seen anything so beautiful
or that could produce so much light

the wind was now soft
and it was time for us to leave
never could i have imagined this
and no one will ever believe

i walked her through the bush
while she glided by my side
i was a man who was struck by love
right now i could have died

gliding over the hills, through the meadows and streams so far
occasionly catching a glimps
of a lovely shooting star

the land around me was changing
and the lush vegitation was flora
rainbows and waterfalls flowed on gently
beneth an amazing aurora

we stopped at a creek
and i took her by the hand
i walked her across to the otherside
where her feet could touch the sand

my lady it`s been an honour to be your guide
you`ve opened my eyes to a whole knew world
i`m at peace here
i feel so alive

with a tear in her eye
she asked me to stay
but i promised her deeply
that i would come back again one day

come back and see me soon
you and your spouse
your welcome here anytime
to my little tree house:)

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
