Losing faith and all hope

Contributed by bluethewolf on Thursday, 19th March 2009 @ 05:52:55 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

She's watching people pass by,
laughing, smiling, loving, living,
It stings through her heart and burns down into her soul
Waves of pain crash down and crush her,
she's trying to hold back the tears that are bleeding from her eyes,
she knows there’s no place she's wanted or belongs

She sometimes sits at the edge of her bed,
she imagines what it would feel like,
she imagines him holding her hand and kissing her cheek
Him she'd always love, always, never-ending,
his scent she'd remember forever,
his chest she'd want to rest her head upon forever

She's watching the days come and go,
and all the love she wants to give,
and all she wants to share with them
She doesn’t bother to sing aloud,
she doesn’t take out her guitar and play,
she knows there is no one listening

She some times tries to numb the pain,
she tries to make it better,
she tries new things, she wakes up to see the sun rise
Everything fails and nothing works,
everything she loves is being ripped away,
she's losing her faith and all hope

I know exactly how you feel..I am going through something very similar with my wife....trying to hold it all together yet no matter how hard you try it still all seems to fall apart. You did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing.
