The kid tells me he’s sorry.
As if that’s enough!
What more can he say,
his mother quickly adds
to this?
Her always on his side from
day one out of the hospital.
When he kept me up most nights.
Her with excuses of “he’s colic”,
bellowing from her mouth,
but a pattern was developing from then,
if one looks back on it now, and just
spends sometime connecting the dots.
