Fear. Fright. Failure.
Gripping every move.
Seeking to engulf in the darkest hour
So the dawn of a new day cannot be seen.
Reminding of all the letdowns.
Propelling the long-burried memory into the present.
Digging up every last regret and nightmare,
Throwing them into the chaotic thought of the mind.
Pulling towards the depths of dark, black churning waters
Which impede on life every day,
Waiting to take the last breathe.
As the breakdowns and deficiencies,
Shortcomings and weaknesses
Pile up over the years
That enthralling current of overwhelming sinisterism continues tugging on feet,
Slowly, gently, patiently pulling them into its everlasting depths.
Hope will never be enough in the end.
