I could wait all day by the phone,
Waiting for calls that will never come.
I could stand by the mailbox,
Waiting for letters that were never written.
I could stand at the bus stop,
Waiting for the one that took me to you.
Something tells me I wouldn't see you at the other end.
There would be no flowers or chocolates,
Or showers of kisses.
I had that dream about you again last night.
It's always the same old thing.
You never say a word, you just give me a look.
A look you feel explains it all,
It explains nothing.
And I wake up emptier than ever.
I know I will never get the answers I need.
I know going to visit you will do no good.
And I do know that you are gone.
Sometimes the more days that go by, the harder it gets.
The worse the dreams become.
I cant run away from it, I cant hide it.
It hurts.
I miss you.
