The Beach

The sun is alone in the sky,
burning up my skin.
Laughter fills the crowd surrounding,
backed by crashing of the waves.
A million grains of sand
snow-cap the peeks of my feet.
The perfect angle of light
reveals life inside.
Skin casts shadows in cut time.
Tasting salty air,
with whole note breathing.
Just a little high,
out on the beach,
watching my heart beating.
