60 Seconds

Contributed by Ess3nc3 on Wednesday, 11th March 2009 @ 07:08:54 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

It is a long hard journey to the end of the road.
For some, life is bland and seemingly meaningless.
For some, life is mediocre.
For some, life fortuitous and full of riches.
For everyone, life is a redundant cycle of ups and downs.
The truth is simply this;
We live to die, and we die to live regardless of the existence of a supreme deity.
Life is merely limited, so take out of it what you can.
While life seems to those who are born into virtue much like a walk to the park, realize this; Wealth is only a temporary fix for happiness.
While life seems to those who are born into misfortune, devoid of sense, realize this; It only makes you stronger in the end.
We all lose loved ones.
The memories we share though will never fade.
Perfection is non-existence in life, it is the capricious nature of human life that eliminates the possibility of perfection.
Expect the unexpected, for you will be the victim of inevitable life experiences that shape who you are.
Do with your life what you will, there is no God.
For if there was a man so capable and omnipotent, the world would inundate itself with harmony.
Death would be natural, not the product of malevolence.
Food would be plentiful, not scarce and served in rations.
There would be no war, or famine.
There would be no hatred and envy.
Change is always on the prowl, but the slopes of life are inevitable.
Life is shorter than you realize, so live it on the edge.
For the next time you fall asleep, 60 years can pass by like 60 seconds.

I am just smiling when I read.. "there is no God.".. Because there is a cause behind every resultant effect which ultimately becomes a cause for future action ...there is no need to think about God and to Him there is no need to interfere in our life activity..
You have clarity of thought and excellent use of words to express yourself with great sincerity..
take care.. venkat
